Valetine's Fun

On the weekend before Valentine's Day, Denyse and I joined several of our friends from church at an Italian restaurant for fun, games, and good times celebrating God's love. It was a real blast... and D was the cutest (and youngest) chick there.

Valentine's week, I was invited (and took Caleb along) to give the invocation prayer at the GPISD School Board meeting. Over 200 people were there as Caleb and I walked to the front, and I helped share with them the true origin of Valentine's Day... a distinctly Christian holiday. Then, at the very end of the prayer, Caleb leaned into the mike and said, "Amen!" Good stuff; he has his grandma's stage presence.

Valentine's weekend Denyse and I celebrated that Sunday afternoon by touring two local hospitals and their maternity wards, in preparation for her delivery in May. After being very pleased at Arlington Memorial, we took off for an late lunch/ early dinner at Buca de Peppo. Sweet! (Denyse complained later that Aaron, in the womb, took exception to all the good Italian food that was suddenly sharing room in her tummy.)
