Philippine-American Church to Meet at Faith

On Monday, July 14th, I met someone interesting. Pastor Ariel Tolentino of Mosaic Fellowship Church was looking for a new place for his fledgling congregation to meet because the AC in their old meeting place, a hotel, had failed and was not being repaired. After some prayer together, we determined that the fellowship hall of Faith Lutheran might meet their congregation's need, and we began contacting our leaders to hear their ideas and concerns.

After much consulting and planning, we finally had a joint meeting on Thursday, July 17th, during which Faith members voted to allow this mostly Philippino congregation to meet in our facility at the same time that we are worshipping in the sanctuary, at least until the end of August. Wow! I was really impressed that our members would show such Christian hospitality to other brothers and sisters in Christ.

This should be really fun, as we get to mingle with and share meals with other Christians of different backgrounds. And, as a bonus... I hear they really know how to cook!
