The Monday before Christmas Ethan & Caleb decorated cookies with their cousins Marissa & Alexa here at our home. Jennifer Jones and Denyse really enjoyed seeing the kids have so much fun, preparing for Jesus' birthday by making (and eating!) cookie after cookie after cookie.
The boys had so much fun and excitement -- and got themselves so tuckered out -- that they could not be woken up until much, much later. It was dark outside when they awoke, and they had slept so hard that they thought it was the morning!
The cookies were part of the many homemade treats our family made for the Christmas season. Homemade caramels, salted peanut rolls, fudge with peanuts, cranberry sauce (canned), and apple butter (canned). Wow!
