Today I (Brady) got up at the crack of dawn to be a judge for Texas' largest Indepen
dence Day parade in Arlington, Texas. It had 150 entries, and the theme was,"Celebrating our Bill of Rights." Being a judge was a bit of work, but it also got me a chance to schmooze with some of the float participants, including these heroes from Six Flags.

Grandma Jean came over early with donuts (a real hit with the boys) and she and Denyse enjoyed taking them to the parade later that morning. Ethan's favorite entry was the LOUD racing cars, while Caleb liked the marching bands.
After watching a bit of Wimbledon through closed eyelids, we took off and spent the rest of the afternoon with some nearby cousins... Russell, Jennifer, Marissa, and Alexa Jones. They had just purchased a new pool that the girls enjoyed sharing with our little guys. What an afternoon!

"Watching Wimbeldon through closed eyelids"... HAHAHA! What a hilarious way of stating the truth!
Now, if you were talking the same about watching Shawn Johnson, Olympian, we'd have to mix words, my friend.
